Among them is the private Kukahiko Estate, nestled along the exquisite coastline overlooking the ocean. The dynamic lava rock pilings, emerald green vegetation and crashing waves make for a beautiful backdrop. With its lush lawn, mature trees and incredible views, it’s the perfect place to start your married life together.

College sweethearts, Penny and Jay were wed in front of their closest family and friends, behind them the waves crashed and the sun shined. The chuppah under which they stood, dripping in floral and fabric, perfectly framing the setting of the nature behind them.

Cherise Vonae Shulman of A Perfect Wedding did a beautiful job of helping bring the couples vision a reality. With an intimate celebration you can really focus on the finer details.

The bride gorgeous in her lace gown, and the groom styled in his grey suit with his Tiffany blue bow tie. Their wedding party coordinating in complimentary grey and blue. Every visual detail was lovely in its soft textures and calming colors.

Choosing to have a “first look” instead of a big reveal at the alter, helps couples calm their nerves before the ceremony as well as getting comfortable in front of the camera. Often times, this is the first professional photo shoot, where all the focus is on you, it can be a little overwhelming. By the end of the session and a few drinks, everyone loosens up and you forget the camera is even pointed at you. What we hear most people love about Kaua is that he blends in from the start.

I can’t get over the gorgeous, floral design, I love the use of roses, hydrangeas and eucalyptus to create a romantic scene. Besides the flowers one of the my favorite details about the wedding was the dinner under the canopy of the trees. After being serenaded by Penny and Jay, their guests feasted around one large table for the first meal of this newly blended family. A beautiful night followed where drinks flowed, toasts were made and happily-ever-afters were guaranteed. Congratulations you two and…go Wolverines!
