Sitting high in the mountains of Launiupoko, overlooking Maui’s gorgeous West Shore is the Mauka Lani Private Estate. Surrounded by a impeccable landscape of Ti trees, croton, gingers and palm trees, this is where longtime loves, Kazia and George chose to host their wedding. The ceremony was set under a custom created bamboo arch on the sprawling lush lawn with stunning views of the island of Lanai behind them. The closest loved ones there to witness as they promised forever to one another. What a beautiful way to start this next chapter of their life!
The decor was a labour of love and a family affair as the groom’s mother, Monica created the beautiful flower arrangements featuring hydrangeas, pink roses and baby’s breath. Both Kazia and George’s family helped with the table decor and setting up the ceremony. The color palette of navy and gold representing George’s Coast Guard blended beautifully with the white and pink flowers, a delicate image of the lady he was marrying.
Hāna native, Kazia always planned on marrying George…
My husband and I are considered to be high school sweethearts and somewhere within the second year of being devoted to each other, we came up with a slogan that defines our relationship… “A Promise Made, A Promise Kept.” We based our entire wedding and now marriage on this saying along with “love is a choice” which is quoted by Mr. & Mrs. Teddy Chihara.
There were so many lovely little details to the happy couples special day starting with the awesome Instagram cutout with the couples saying and hashtag, to the signs displayed throughout and the succulent favors given to guests. It’s details like these that make a wedding unique.
Final words from the happy couple…
Our wedding day was truly memorable, one that can never be forgotten… Thank you to Kaua for the lovely pictures that commemorated our special day and thank you to all of our family and friends who helped us celebrate our wedding, marriage and our love.
You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day! The skies were clear and the sun was shining as two people become one. We love when a couple so meant to be gets their happily ever after filled with love and happiness forever and ever. Congratulations Kazia and George!
