Hana is Maui’s old Hawaiian gem. The Hawaii you dream of. With lush jungle backdrops and miles of incredible ocean views. Kara and Ryan were married in Hana town. A simple ceremony, right on the cliff near the Travaasa Hotel. Followed by a walk through Hana Ranch land and cruising Hamoa and Koki beach to experience some of the local spots. Hana weddings never fail to be the most naturally breathtaking. All you have to do is look, and you will understand why this place radiates with Aloha.
Venue: Hana

Officiant: Ashley Keegan at Hana Wedding Co

Wedding dress: David’s Bridal. “There is a story worth sharing here. My original dress was from Bloomingdale’s, and I decided I absolutely hated it when I tried it on a week before the wedding. I went into David’s Bridal in a panic. Told them I needed something simple for a beach wedding with just the two of us. They delivered. It was perfect! And they altered it for me in record time.” – Kara
From the Bride:
“We wanted to have a very simple and intimate event with just the two of us, so we wanted the surroundings to be especially spectacular. Neither of us had been to Hawaii, and of course we had heard wonderful things about all of the islands. We were drawn to Hana in particular, because it seemed to promise the serene, romantic experience we were seeking. We were married at the Travaasa Hotel Hana, and fortunately for us, Kaua Wedding Photography was their preferred photographer. However, we had a choice. After reviewing some slide shows of weddings shot by Kaua, we were sold! We knew we would be in good hands, and we were right. (Some highlights were) The entire day, really! But if I had to choose a highlight, I would say it was in the middle of our ceremony, which took place on a black lava rock bluff at the ocean’s edge. The sun was setting, the ocean was calmly lapping against the rocks, and I was gazing into the eyes of my lover and best friend. I was truly and wholly content in that moment. (My advice is) Do not stress! The most important thing is the love, trust, and respect between you and your partner. If you have that, nothing else matters. And of course, I highly recommend Travaasa Hotel Hana for your destination wedding! They handled everything.”
