When two people are in love the connection they share is evident. With this beautiful couple it shown in every move they make. Over 70 of Carmel and Elan’s closest friends and family flew in from all over the world including Carmel’s home town of Perth, Australia to witness these two lovely ladies as they promised their lives to one another, forever to be known as “CarmElan”. It was a glorious day at Hanaʻs historic cliffside Hale. The guests were shuttled from Hana Kai in school buses to rekindle child like charm. As they got off the school bus, they made their way to the Tiki Bar, where our master mixologist was awaiting to bestow tasty fresh local fruit made Margarita’s.
We wanted a quiet, non-touristy destination that captured the spirit and beauty of Hawaii, where our family and friends could spend 5 days relaxing and exploring the natural beauty of the landscape. Hana was the perfect choice. Carmel admitted.
The spiritual union of love that these two share was felt by all in attendance. When asked what was the favorite part of the day Carmel and Elan answered…
Having all our family and friends come together to celebrate our love! Our ceremony was just perfect reflection of this.
A circular rock altar with the four directions set the stage for the ceremony. The guests and family encircled around. As the two brides entered into the circle from the direction of the east everyone felt the magic happen. After a poetic flow of angelic words, exchange of leis, Pohaku ceremony (purifying intent by throwing rocks in the ocean), vows and kisses the wedding party and a few friends broke out in to a flash mob with live music played by guests. The entire party joined in the dancing and the festivity had officially begun!
