Not one detailed was spared at the union of Karen and Michael held at the Olowalu Plantation House. Romantic, rustic and vintage elements were seen wherever the eye would land. The wedding of these two native Californians had been 12 years in the making, every aspect of it showcased their personalities and the love they share.
Karen sought a vintage look in the color palette of green, blush, ivory & an accent color. Bringing it all together was an amazing collaboration of Maui wedding artists to see out the brides vision. Flawless Coordination of Lori Lawrence, Vintage rentals and accents by Event Stylists, Melissa Padilla of Opihi Love. The delicate floral design by Lois Hiranaga included Sarah Bernhardt Peonies, White Ohara Garden Roses, Sahara Roses, White Hydrangea, Scabiosa Pods, Brunia, Pink Astilbe, Seeded Eucalyptus, and Dusty Miller Leaves for the bride’s bouquet.
The coordinating boutonnieres were composed of a Scabiosa Pod, Succulent, Dusty Miller, & Seeded Eucalyptus bond with natural hemp. For the table centerpieces and other areas, Lois paired the decor with Hydrangeas, Peach Stock, Sahara & Polo Roses, Scabiosa Pods, Pink Astilbe, Daisy Chrysanthemums, Seeded Eucalyptus, Dusty Miller Leaves & Succulents.
The end result, a dreamy, romantic, visual feast for all of their guests to enjoy and everlasting memories for the newlyweds to have for a lifetime!
Words from the beautiful bride…
The most important thing to us, though, was that the wedding be as personal and meaningful as possible. We wrote every word of our ceremony and our vows, and we asked one of Mike’s childhood friends to officiate for us. It was such a special way for us to share with all of our family and friends exactly how we feel about each other – and also how we feel about all of them. It was a truly magical ceremony and we will never forget a moment of it.
