If there is one thing the people of Hāna know how to do besides work, it’s party! The union of Monyca and Ola was a celebration to behold… Starting with the pop of the Champagne cork, the newlyweds toasted the wedding party for standing up for them as they promised their lives to each other and ending with everyone on the dance floor. As guests got the festivities started, Monyca and Ola stole away for a moment to themselves, letting the day soak in as they let us capture a glimpse of their complete devotion.
When they returned, drinks were flowing and a delicious local menu of Kalua Pork, Poke, Mac Salad, Poi and more was being served up by Chef Troy Baker on break from his Koki Beach food stand. After dinner, the newlyweds were treated to a traditional Hula by two of the bridesmaids, who along with the bride learned Hula as a child from the teachings of Hāna’s own Aunty Carol. So much love exuded through the couple that it was infectious and their wedding was affair to forever be remembered.
The new Mrs. Elogram had this to share…
I remember feeling so thankful for everyone there. Number one my husband, my family, wedding party, and all the people who came together to make this all happen. It truly was just what I wanted. Our personal vows were honest and full of passion, and the weather showed us that the heavens agreed. We ate, drank and danced into the night, Everyone got so muddy but no one cared. We hugged so many loved ones sharing beautiful wishes for our future.
